Questions

How do I get to Loloma Lodge?

Loloma Lodge is a private property located in the Willamette National Forest. If you are arriving by plane, you will want to compare flights going into Eugene (EUG) and Portland (PDX). Eugene is an hour from the Lodge, while Portland is two and a half hours away. If you fly in, you will need a rental car. We recommend carpooling with friends and family.

Will there be parking at Loloma Lodge for all events?

Yes, parking is available. We do encourage folks to carpool when possible.

What meals will be provided during the weekend?

We will be hosting dinner for all of our guests on Saturday, for the welcome party, and Sunday, for the wedding. Please RSVP for each event.

What should I do for meals that are self provided?

Most of our suggested wedding accommodations are cabin-style and have a full kitchen. We recommend getting groceries on your way to McKenzie Bridge. The nearest large grocery store is an Albertsons (5755 Main Street, Springfield, OR) about 45 minutes away. Local restaurant options are listed in our local guide.

What should I do during the day?

Within thirty minutes of the Lodge, guests can enjoy scenic hikes, natural hot springs, river rafting, and golfing. For information on these and other options, see our local guide

When and where can I find a Catholic Mass?

St. Benedict’s Lodge has a chapel just across the river from Loloma Lodge — it’s even visible from the ceremony site! The chapel offers a Saturday Vigil Mass at 5:00 PM and Sunday Mass at 9:30 AM.

When should I check in and check out of accommodations?

We recommend arriving to McKenzie Bridge on Friday, May 24th and getting settled in. This allows you to spend all of Saturday exploring the beautiful area, relaxing, or catching up with relatives and friends before we all get together for the rehearsal dinner on Saturday night. If you are only able to arrive on Saturday, that is ok too! As for departure, the suggested checkout day is Monday, May 27th (the day after the wedding). However, if you wish to extend your stay and relax, we very much approve!

What clothing should I bring?

Oregonians have a saying: “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad gear.” We know that Pacific Northwest weather is totally unpredictable, but that’s part of its charm. Bring layers, a raincoat, and a good pair of walking shoes.

Wedding day attire should be colorful, playful, and elegant. For those who wish to wear a heel, we recommend one that is suitable for gravel, concrete, and some grass.
